FIDCampus

In partnership with the Mucem (musée des civilisations et de la méditerranée).

Created in 2013, the FIDCampus is a week-long residency, training and exchange programme for students from partner art and film schools and young international filmmakers.
Each year, ten to fifteen young filmmakers are selected on the basis of their latest film and their motivation to participate in an intense training programme. They start the week with two days of tutoring and collective discussions about their films led by professional speakers (directors, cinematographers, editors, sound engineers), and continue with a rich programme of screenings, masterclasses and meetings organised for them. They are also invited to attend presentations of FIDLab – FIDMarseille’s co-production support platform.
More than 80 young filmmakers have already participated in FIDCampus, from France, Algeria, Portugal, Lebanon, Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany and Morocco.
In the 8 previous editions, participants were followed by speakers such as Kamal Aljafari, Raed Andoni, Claire Atherton, Dominique Auvray, Nicolas Becker, Caroline Champetier, Yann Dedet, Khalil Joreige, Valérie Jouve, Payal Kapadia, Oliver Laxe, Diego Marcon, Narimane Mari, Karim Moussaoui, Alice Rohrwacher, Ghassan Salhab, Stefano Savona, Marie Voignier and Phillip Warnell.
